These caves are where you can view drawings on the walls from some of the original Taino Indians that were wiped out by the Spanish.The caves on this tour alone are worth seeing because they are very large and carry a unique history.The next stop is at the dock at the mouth of a larger cave with some spectacular photo ops.Next, it is on to a number of small islands that make up the Bird Sanctuary part of the park. Many species of birds use this protected area to raise their young. Walk from one end of the cave out the other side where the Catamaran will be waiting at another dock to pick the group up. Once safely back in the Catamaran, the tour will make its way to the town of Samana and enjoy lunch soon after.(Please be aware that this tour takes place on the open waters of Samana Bay).You could be in a small 24' panga style v-hull boat with a small roof over part of it.Be aware of the sea conditions or any adverse effects of sea sickness that people in the group may encounter).Next it is on to El Limon National Park. Once you arrive at the ranch you can wash up, use the restrooms and enjoy the delicious, home cooked, buffet lunch. (Vegetarian options are available).Then, the park is about a 30 minute Horseback ride. Don't be too afraid of the horses, as they are experts at traversing the crazy looking trail, that includes a couple steep inclines. (There also is a volunteer horse handler who will walk alongside each horse in the group).Once the group arrives at the precipice of Stunning El Limon Waterfalls, everyone will dismount and walk down a steep mountainside the last 300 yards, a very worth it trek. You'll have now arrived at the base of the spectacular El Limon Waterfalls. Spend some time swimming in the refreshing waters of the waterfall’s large pool. If you want, you should swim into the falls and see the cave underneath.
